Blue Planet Foundation

Paving the way for clean energy in Hawaii and around the world, Blue Planet Foundation was looking to connect to a wider audience. To help, our goal was to revitalize their information within a mobile-first site that could reach everyone everywhere.

Mobile-First

Previous to our redesign the site was filled with detailed scientific and policy facts around climate change making it hard for viewers to understand or connect. This drove our mobile-first approach, forcing the information to be simplified in order to reduce the bounce rate while creating a clear navigational system.

Photography

Hawaii is known for its beautiful and serene landscape so we wanted to make sure to put this at the forefront of the design, showcasing the connection they Hawaii has to nature through their culture.

Luckily, Blue Planet Foundation had an in house photographer that could take authentic photographs of the islands, presenting its natural beauty. By showcasing these images throughout the website we were able to get the viewers both excited and inspired about working with Blue Plant Foundation and their advocacy towards climate action.
